Roccheggiani’s RRU FA are intended to suit for all systems where primary air supply has to be guaranteed (e.g.  systems with hydronic terminals or chilled beams, induction systems, radiant systems, existing systems which were not provided originally with the proper amount of fresh air).

Roccheggiani’s RRU FA are intended to suit for all systems where primary air supply has to be guaranteed (e.g.  systems with hydronic terminals or chilled beams, induction systems, radiant systems, existing systems which were not provided originally with the proper amount of fresh air). Units are equipped with a thermal hygroscopic wheel  with efficiencies up to 85% and perform a further stage of heat recovery by the means of a fully integrated refrigerant/heat pump system. The ecological refrigerant R410 is adopted. 6 sizes are available with nominal air flow ranging from 2500 to 25000 m3/h and admitted airflow reduction down to 40% of the nominal values.

Casing
The frame is made from extruded Anti-
corodal Aluminium profiles UNI 9006/14
– 6060 ASTM with special safety shaping.
The profiles are connected by 3-way cor-
ner pieces in fiberglass-reinforced nylon
and feature a unique outline which holds
the panel-fixing screws so that the inner
surfaces of the RRU-Fas are completely
smooth and free from protrusions. The
profiles are 70 mm thick for 54 mm thick
panels. The sandwich-type panels have a
minimum thickness of 54 mm and are
insulated with polyurethane foam (density
approx. 45 kg/m 3 ). The inside of the panel
is in galvanised steel and the outside is in
painted galvanised steel.

Thermal wheel recuperator
The termal wheel is made from alumi-
nium subjected to hygroscopic treatment
with 0.08 mm thick plates. Transmission
is by trapezoidal belt. Motor (230/400V –
50/60Hz – 0.18kW – 0.99/0.57A) com-
plies with IEC 34-1. Protection IP55. The
recuperator is equipped with a cleaning
sector between the discharge air and
fresh air channels. A drain pan manufac-
tured from AISI 304 stainless steel is pro-
vided; heat recovery is optimized thanks
to the variation of the wheel speed.

Fan sections
Fan sections feature plug-fan type centri-
fugal fans with single inlet with EC motor
directly coupled to the impeller.

Water coil (optional)
Pre-heating/pre-cooling coils are provi-
ded with a drain pan manufactured from
AISI 304 stainless steel. The frame is in
galvanised steel, the pipes in copper and
the fins in aluminium.

Refrigerant coils
The frame is in galvanised steel, the pipes
in copper and the fins in aluminium.|

Filters
Prefilters for big dust particles: synthe-
tic fibre pleated filters with regenerative
cells, G4 class (EN 779).
Filters for thin dust particles: synthetic
fibre minipleated filters, rigid bags, F7
class (EN 779).
Activated carbon filters on request.

Compressor
The unit is equipped with a Digital scroll™
compressor with variable capacity, conti-
nuous modulation from 10% to 100%, low
acoustic emission and high efficiency and
durability. Tandem solution is installed
on larger-sized units: a Scroll Standard is
coupled to a Digital scroll™ .
