TFS2
Model TFS2 is an Induction Chilled Beam for flush installa-
tion in false ceiling. It is supplied with our patented system
to control the air inlet flow direction without reducing perfor-
mance. Each unit is also fitted with a new, integrated air flow
rate adjustment system. It is also available in version 300mm.
width (TFS2-300).
The TFS2 model chilled beam has been designed to offer win-
ning solutions in all phases of the design, manufacture and
operational usage of the air conditioning plant.
In particular it has the following benefits:
•Developed with the aid of Computational Fluid Dynamics
programs to optimize induction and capacity of the unit.
•The exposed portion (micro-perforated under panel and side
profiles) can be made in any length regardless of the length of
the active part (upper heat exchange element).
•Controllable Inlet Air flow direction without loss of perfor-
mance (Roccheggiani patent).
•Site adjustable Air Flow. In particular it allows variations in
air flow while maintaining the same working pressure.
•Integrated anti-drip system.
•Virtually silent operation.
•2 pipe or 4 pipe options.
•Easy access for cleaning and inspection of the beam’s sur-
faces and fittings, even with false ceilings without inspection
panels.
•Available options for valve integration, anti-condensation
sensor, stale air extraction valve.

Silent operation
The chilled beams do not have moving parts and therefore
even long after installation, their operation is virtually silent.
The air distribution system of the TFS2 chilled beam, through
the fixed nozzles and the active fins, is also particularly quiet.
Please note, that in order to achieve the benefits and fully appreciate the silent operation of a Chilled Beam installation, it is
necessary to control the noise generated by the remote plant
at the source.

Element length not related to performance
The length of the heat exchange element of the TFS2, that determines the performance capacity of the chilled beam and is
concealed by the under panel, can be different from that of
the Cover.
This solution allows aesthetic uniformity within the complete
installation even when there are different heat loads in different parts of the building.

4-Pipe Cooling/Heating solution
The appliance is also available in a 4 pipe option with a circuit
dedicated to heating.
It is possible to achieve effective heating with low levels of vertical temperature stratification in buildings complying with the
latest energy standards, with no heat dispersion from the floor
and typical floor to ceiling heights of between 2.7-3.0 m up to
3,5 m.
Heating is also possible with the 2-pipe version where the performance is further enhanced so even lower heated water temperatures can be used.

Incorporated anti-condensation sensor
The beam can be supplied with an optional anti-condensation
sensor.
This sensor is located on the coil battery, in the optimal position where it is constantly in contact with the room air and
therefore able to react quickly in periods of condensation risk.

Integrated regulating valves and actuators
The beam can be supplied with control kits (valve + electrothermal actuator) for both the 2 pipe & 4 pipe solution.
The valve can be accessed through the under-panel.

Integrated air extraction valve
The beam can be supplied with an integrated air extraction
plenum, together with an air flow damper.
