TFI
TFI model is an Induction Chilled Beam for installation embed-
ded into a false ceiling or masked into a floor cabinet for tho-
se applications where the employment of a standard chilled
beam would not be compatible with the architectural lay-out. It
is delivered with an air diffuser with double rows of directional
air blades and can be delivered together with a plenum and
an extraction grille with fixed fins for ambient air recirculation.
The product can be used both in new installations and in re-
furbishment to substitute old induction units. Respect to ol-
der concept induction units the TFI model has the advantage
of providing good capacity levels even at low pressure levels
(60—140 Pa). This fact helps to reduce noise, keeping lower le-
akages from the ductworks and reducing energy consumption
from the fan compared with the same system dimensioned
with higher terminal pressure levels (> 200Pa).
For those applications which take advantages of it,
especially Hotel room applications, the TFI can be
supplied with our system of primary air control, ena-
bling a simple DCV (demand control ventilation) so-
lution which has the advantage of delivering air to
the rooms only according to effective requests, and
to be able to deliver locally extra air flows without
the need of oversizing the whole system.
It is also possible to equip the beam with sloping
drain pan with both solutions for horizontal and ver-
tical installations.
This option makes it very interesting for installa-
tions where humidity control is not possible effec-
tively through primary air alone.
The model TFB2 – chilled beam has been designed
to offer winning solutions in all phases of the de-
sign, manufacture and operational usage of the air
conditioning plant being able to give a concealed,
yet powerful terminal unit.

The TFI model has the following key features:
• Developed with the aid of Computational
Fluid Dynamics programs to optimize induction and
capacity of the unit even at low pressure levels.
• Directionable air diffusion through stan-
dard diffusers with double rows of adjustable fins.
• Low noise levels even at high pressure le-
vels.
• Available option for anti-condensation sensor integration.
• Sloping drain pan.
• Option for external VAV motorized damper
• 2 pipe or 4 pipe water cooling and heating options.
• No servicing operation requested on the standard product

4-pipe Cooling/Heating solution (4T)
The appliance is also available in a 4 pipe option with a circuit
dedicated to heating.

Regulating valves and actuators Kit (VT)
The beam can be supplied with control kits (valve + electro-
thermal actuator) for both the 2 pipe & 4 pipe solutions.

Incorporated anti-condensation sensor (SA)
The beam can be supplied with an optional anti-condensation
sensor.
This sensor is located on the coil battery, in the optimal po-
sition where it is constantly in contact with the room air and
therefore able to react quickly whenever condensation occurs.

Sloping drain pan available for both horizontal and vertical
installations (DPH-DPV)
The product can be delivered with a sloping drain pan for verti-
cal (DPV) or horizontal (DPH) installation.

Exchange battery thermal separation (THC)
It prevents casing condensation in case of severe and conti-
nuous condensing conditions.

Option for external VAV motorized damper (VAV)
External kit composed of a VAV motorized regulating valve.
When ordering, you should specify the type of operation (con-
stant flow rate, variable flow rate, 2, 3 positions or proportio-
nal) and specified range of flow rates.

Round external silencer (RS)
A round silencer to be installed downstream of the damper and
before the TFI air inlet so as to control noise caused by the VAV
device, if required.
