Duct Terminal Units TCU Series
The new series of TCU DUCT TERMINAL
Units is the result of continuous research geared towards the most up-to-date
plant engineering needs and represents
an innovative proposal within the ROCCHEGGIANI® range.
This series is produced in 4 different
models with a nominal air flow rate from
330 to 880 m3/h and with an external
static pressure of 140 Pa.
Their compactness, high air flow rates,
high static pressure availability, quiet
operation and particular layout make
them an obvious choice for use in civil/
commercial environments, in averagelysmall premises, such as offices, shops,
flats and detached houses.
These devices, which have a particular
“U” shape and are only 280 mm high,
have been designed to be installed in
false ceilings, preferably where the hot
andcold water and Primary Air distribution networks are located.
The air supply and return is carried out
through different types of diffusers
which are connected to the units
through flexible pipes with sound and
thermal insulation.
Because of the high available static pressure to the supply vent of the fan, these
terminals can be installed in convenient
places for maintenance, also remote
from the area that requires air-conditioning.
The TCU series is supplied with: filters,
cold water coil, hot water coil, fan, Primary Air side vent (optional), external air
damper (optional).

Casing
This is made from galvanised sheet
metal. The inside is lined with thermalsound insulating material with self-extinguishing fire rating in class 1.
Wide access doors allow easy maintenance of the various components.

Electric fan
DIDW Centrifugal fan with forward blade
impeller, activated through an external
rotary motor directly coupled to the impeller.
The new fan complies with the latest
ERP European regulations, ensuring low
energy consumption levels.
The motor is of the “brushless” type,
with electronic control (EC) and class F
insulation. Rotation speed can be modified through modulation with 0…10Vdc /
PWM input signal and soft start.
The Motor is supported by spherical bearings, and comes with 10 Vdc output,
RPM tachometer output, motor limitation system and protection against temperature overloads.
Forward blade impeller made of
polypropylene, statically and dynamically
balanced.
Shell made of reinforced, high-resistance polypropylene.
Operating standards in line with:
Low tension directive 73/23/EEC update of 93/68/EEC
Directive EMC 2004/108/EEC and
subsequent amendments and additions.

Heat exchanger coil
It is made with a galvanised frame, copper pipes and continuous aluminium finning, which are fixed to the pipes through
mechanical expanding.
The supply headers have female connections Ф 1/2”G and air vent holes and water drainage outlet Ф 1/8”G with stopper.
The additional 1-Row Coil has threaded
female connections Ф 1/2”G.

Filter
It consists of a galvanised steel frame,
50 mm thick, double electrically-welded
grid, filtering media in undulating synthetic fibre, that can be regenerated. Efficiency G4-EN 779.
